Question: How did you connect what you learned in your courses to real-world public health issues?

“I connected what I learned in my courses to real-world public health issues by applying theoretical concepts to current community and population health challenges. Many assignments and research projects helped me understand how social determinants and health disparities affect different populations (as my top research interest). I also related course content to practical issues such as child development, prevention strategies, and access to healthcare services. Through my final research paper, I gained a deeper understanding of how research can guide effective interventions and decision-making in public health. These experiences helped me better understand the importance of evidence-based approaches in improving public health outcomes.”
